No. The kit includes a Tasso device, which attaches to your upper arm and collects a small blood sample using gentle suction. Most people find it virtually painless, and the whole process takes around five minutes.

Once your sample reaches our UK laboratory, results are typically ready within a few working days. You'll receive them digitally, grouped by health system so they're easy to read and act on. We recommend posting your sample on a weekday morning for the quickest turnaround.

The Swan Signature Health Check covers five key health systems — liver function, metabolic health, inflammation, nutrient status and organ function — giving you a solid all-round picture. The Deep Dive adds longevity and cardiovascular markers (Homocysteine) as well as stress and hormonal markers (Cortisol, Testosterone and SHBG), for those wanting a more advanced level of insight.

Because a long list of medical reference ranges isn't very useful on its own. Grouping your results by system — liver, metabolism, inflammation and so on — makes it much easier to understand what the markers mean in context and what, if anything, you might want to look at further.

Yes, though certain supplements — particularly high-dose Vitamin D, B12 or iron — can influence individual markers. For the most accurate picture, collect your sample before taking your supplements for the day. If you're on prescribed medication, we'd recommend speaking to your GP before making any changes based on your results.
